Have you tried this recipe with real butter? I detest margarine and was wondering if it made a difference?
I have and it works well
I used real butter and they are in the oven right now! will update later!
If you had donut pans, then they would just be cinnamon sugar donuts.
When do you add the vanilla extract?
When you add the flour
I made these with my oldest daughter a few days ago and they were very good. We rolled the ones we made in powdered sugar. We will make these again. Thank you so much for this recipe
My 7year old daughter and I made theseand they were great! I love how easy they are, she could probably make these on her own with supervision.
Great recipe! I used butter.
I passed it on to my fridnds too. Thank you!!
Just about to make those….do you think i can add some chocolate chips? or would it make the batter too heavy?
Have you considered rolling the muffin dough balls in the cinnamon and sugar first then baking them that way? I tried another muffin recipe that called for it that way – and it was great – because the cinnamon and sugar baked into all the nooks and crannies of the muffins. I was curious if perhaps that would work just as well with these muffins too?
Hey !! i tried out this Recipe!! It was easy and Tasted great!! loved it!!!!

I love this recipe. I use butter and I use cinamon in addition to the vanila…. I have done them a few times now and before that I never baked anything in my life… I am addicted now and tring variations with orange and chocolate
These were very fluffy. I doubled the recipe, but no need to double the topping. I’m not a huge fan of nutmeg so next time I may use cinnamon in the batter instead of nutmeg. Very easy & good!
