What You Need
3 1/2 pounds of beef short ribs
1 yellow onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves minces
3 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 cup of beef broth ( not pictures)
2 Tablespoon of Flour
1/2 tsp of pepper
1 tsp of salt
2 Tablespoon of butter
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Pinch of Chili powder
1/2 cup of ketchup
1 Tablespoon of red wine vinegar
Directions
In a skillet over medium heat melt butter – add onions. In a bag place ribs and flour — shake – this will help create the crust you want
Place ribs in the skillet and brown each side – sprinkle with salt and pepper – 3 minutes PER SIDE.
Place ribs on the bottom of the slow cooker – place the rest of the ingredients into the crock pot.
Set it to low and let cook for 6 hours. Check out at the 6 hour mark – meat should fall off the bone — if not tender enough cook for another hour. If you do end up enjoying the recipe, maybe you would try a country style ribs slow cooker recipe next for a little twist on flavor!
